Let's talk about FAT.
Let's talk about fat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There are so many things out there that are "low-fat" - cheese, milk, processed foods like chips, popcorn, etc. etc. Is fat really so bad for us? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
NOPE! Not the right kinds, at least. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here are some facts on fats that I think are crucial to understand & help re-wire our brains on how we think about fats (hint: we NEED fat). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧀Fats provide building blocks for our cells and hormones⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧀Fats are a source of energy for us to use every day⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧀Fats help us absorb crucial vitamins (A, D, E, K)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧀Fats help our bodies regulate inflammation (inflammation can cause long-term disease, fats help to maintain this inflammation)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧀Fats keep us FULL longer ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧀My personal favorite (& probably yours too), they make food taste SO yummy⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But we want real fat - not man-made. Here's a list of what to look for: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧀100% grass-fed animals⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧀pasture-raised eggs,⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧀organic coconut oil⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧀organic cold-pressed olive oil
